"Knowledge saved my family from heartbreak."

Emeka and his wife were planning their wedding when they decided to get genotype tested. Discovering they were both AS carriers was a shock, but it allowed them to make informed decisions about their future.

"We realized that knowing our genotype gave us power and choice," Emeka shares. "Many couples don't know their status until it's too late. We want to encourage others to get tested before marriage."

Today, they have a healthy family and advocate for genotype screening in their community. Emeka volunteers at local health centers, helping couples understand the importance of genotype testing.

"Education is key," he emphasizes. "If we had known earlier, it wouldn't have been so scary. We want to save other families from the heartbreak we could have faced."
