"I lost my brother to SCD, and I'm fighting for others."
Tunde's younger brother, Kofi, lost his life to sickle cell disease at age 12. The pain of that loss has driven Tunde to become a fierce advocate for sickle cell awareness.
"Kofi was my best friend. He had so much potential. His life was cut short because of lack of awareness and limited access to care."
Tunde has since founded a foundation in his brother's name, providing education, support, and medical assistance to families affected by SCD in northern Nigeria.
"We honor Kofi's memory by making sure other families don't have to endure the same pain. Every child deserves a chance to live a full life, regardless of their genotype."
