Eke Foundation Launches Free Screening Program in Lagos

Our new free genotype screening program aims to reach 5,000 people in Lagos State, providing early detection and education about sickle cell disease.

Screening Program Launch

Eke Foundation has launched a free genotype screening program in Lagos State, aiming to reach 5,000 people with free testing and education about sickle cell disease.

The program, which runs from June to December 2026, will visit 20 communities across the state, providing:

  • Free genotype testing
  • Health education sessions
  • Genetic counseling
  • Referrals for follow-up care

"Early detection is key to preventing sickle cell disease," says Foundation Director, Mrs. Eke. "By testing and educating our communities, we can save future generations from this condition."

To participate, community members can register at local health centers or through our website.
